John “Hollywood” Johnson

John “Hollywood” Johnson is a quarterback at West Virginia University, representing New Orleans with the confidence, discipline, and creativity that made “Hollywood” more than a nickname. An early enrollee in Morgantown, he is building the next chapter of his career on the field, in the classroom, and through his personal brand.

Before WVU, Johnson became one of Louisiana’s most accomplished quarterbacks at Edna Karr. He led the Cougars to a perfect season twice and the 2024 and 2025 Louisiana state championship, earning Championship Game MVP honors. He finished his high-school career with 11,003 total yards and 135 touchdowns—8,539 passing yards and 88 passing touchdowns, plus 2,464 rushing yards and 47 rushing scores.

His honors include Class of 2026 Male student of the year and Athlete of the year, Two-time District 9-5A Offensive MVP, two-time First Team All-State and All-Metro, New Orleans Metro Player of the Year, Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Year, and two-time Allstate Sugar Bowl Athlete of the Month. He was also a Louisiana State Player of the Year finalist and earned more Manning Award Quarterback of the Week selections than any other player in the state. He has been recognized as the Hash It Out Show New Orleans Player of the Year twice.

Away from football, Johnson is studying Media and Finance. As well as building HOLLYWOOD: BEYOND THE HELMET, a cinematic series documenting the complete college-athlete experience, from preparation and recovery to academics, competition, and everyday life. His platform connects football, storytelling, leadership, and brand partnerships with an audience of athletes, families, and sports fans. Driven by faith, family, and the pursuit of excellence, Hollywood is building more than a highlight reel. He is building a legacy.
